   My first car was a little Simca 1000 GLS in Germany when I was in   
the air force. It was a tiny little car with a miniscule engine and    
given a tail wind, a long down hill slope and several miles of build   
up time it could go maybe 80 mph. Made it a little dangerous on the    
German Autobans, where most cars had a minimum speed equal to my       
maximum. Also, in the words of my mechanic there, it was made of       
cheese.                                                                
   It cost $1200 brand new, and I had it for 2 1/2 years. It was sold  
when I came back to the states for $400.
